Pet Waste Stations

For those of you who walk your dogs in downtown, we have installed seven Pet Waste Stations for your convenience. We love seeing you and your furry friends; however, please clean up after your pet. It’s most appreciated! Not only is picking up after your pet the neighborly thing to do, it is the healthy thing to do for you and the environment. It also helps our beautiful Downtown stay that way and contributes to creating a pleasant and inviting experience for all!

Station Locations

  • Mid 100 block of N. Main Street
  • Generator Park, corner of E. Whitner and N. McDuffie streets
  • Calhoun Historic Lofts, 402 N. Main Street
  • John Street lot next to City Hall
  • Two locations in Carolina Wren Park, 111 E. Whitner Street
  • Courthouse Plaza at Chiquola, 100 W. Whitner Street
  • Sharpe Street

Dog Park Update
The Anderson Downtown tba Dog Park, located on North Fant Street, between Society Street and East Orr Streets, is open. It includes a parking lot, leashing area with water, and separate gated lots for large and small dogs. The entire area is shaded with natural growth. The $100,000 fund-raising goal was met thanks to an anonymous challenge donor of $20,000. Donations are still being accepted to cover other purchases. The Dog Park is funded through tba 100. Tax deductible donations by check should be made payable to: Foothills Community Foundation. Please note in the memo line: dog park or tba 100. Mailing address: Foothills Community Foundation, PO Box 1228, Anderson, SC 29622. On-line donations by using PayPal via: www.foothillscommunityfoundation.org. Click the DONATE NOW button, and then select tba 100 in the drop-down menu.
